What is the Silver medal and the Gold medal?

Eligibility

The Silver medal is awarded to dogs which have accumulated 40 points in their trialing career with PAAPP trials.

The Gold medal is awarded to dogs which have accumulated 80 points in their trialing career with PAAPP trials.

The medals are personalized with engraving of dog's name and owner's name.

Points system

The PAAPP Secretary maintains a database of Clean Run certificates, Gamblers Certificates, Obedience Certificates, and later the Flyball certificates. Each dog's points will be updated after each competition. See here. Each certificate carries 5 points. Accumulation of points is for the lifetime of the dog. Accumulation of points are done for both agility, obedience and flyball competitions.

Presentation of the medal-The Silver and Gold medal will be presented to the dog and owner at the last competition of the year organized by PAAPP. There is no need to apply for it, unlike the titles, where the owner has to apply for the titles after the dog has accumulated the required points.

Starting 1 February 2008, the Dogs of PAA page will be updated with information on the dogs as they accumulate the points during the trials.

Dog Fancy Dress Show : Rules

(effective 1^st November, 2007)

Eligibility

1. All healthy male & female dogs 6 months and above.

2. Pure breed, mix-breed, mongrel dogs are allowed.

3. Dogs with no testicals or one testical descended are allowed.

4. Spayed or desexed dogs are allowed.

5. Open to members and non-members.

X Female dogs in season (on heat) are not allowed.

X Dogs with skin disease are not allowed.

X Dirty and smelly dogs are not allowed.

X Dogs infested with many ticks and fleas are not allowed.

Dress

1. Any form of dressing is allowed but must allow movement of the dog.

2. No restriction to how much to wear, as long as there is one item worn by the dog.

3. Handler should dress smartly.

X One person handling 2 dogs are not allowed.

Judging system

1. The judge will give points up to maximum of 100.

2. 100 points is divided into 4 parts-

40 points for Dress Creativity

20 points for Compatibility ( dress and dog)

20 points for Showmanship of dog

20 points for Performance ( any trick or

obedience exercise)

3. Top 3 highest points will be receive 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd placing ( for total entries below 15 dogs)

4. Top 4 highest points will receive 1^st, 2^nd,3^rd, 4^th placing ( for total entries above 15 dogs)

X There will be no appeal to the judge’s decision. The judge’s decision is final.

Entry fees

Members- RM10 per dog-handler

2. Non-members- RM20 per dog-handler

Fill up the entry forms 60 minutes before the show.

X Late entry 10 minutes before judging will not be accepted.
