From Seattle, USA, we present Agility dogs from
the family of Jef and Rossie Blake... |
Jef and Rossie with their friends at Castlerock,
CO |
|
Jef ( 3rd
guy from the right) and I (Rossie, next to Jef)
were
originally introduced to the sport of agility when we got
Milo, our first dog. Voucher is our 4th dog and came to us in
August 2004.
Jef and
Voucher have been doing amazing things in agility. They won
two rounds at the AKC Nationals in Columbus, OH this
year; and won two rounds at the AKC/World Team Tryouts
in Minnesota. In spite of not making the World Team this
year, Jef remains optimistic and hope to win three rounds and win
a spot on the Team next year. For more information on
qualifying for the World Team, visit this website

IRiS is our mutt. She was rescued by
Jef from the park where she was abandoned by her previous owners. She
has won numerous awards in agility but we retired her due to her injury.
Her favorite hobby is stealing tennis balls from Milo. IRiS is spelled
this way because she was born on tax day (according to the note left by
her previous owners). Jef's friend added the "i" to IRS (Internal
Revenue Service) and so she was named IRiS.

MACH3 Gael Force Wins MAD TM-B; EAC O-EJC EGC O-TN-E
O-TG-E WV-E
Gael Force Wins, my female border collie,
was pulled out of the shelter on
the last day. She was scheduled to be put to sleep but of course, that did
not happen and she is with us now. Gael is a genius if there is such a thing
as a genius dog. She is very perceptive, is very much into herding sheep, chickens, goats, etc but her favorite hobby is herding animals on the Animal
Planet Channel and banging the screen with her nose, ouch!!

MACH Hob Nob I.O. EWE MAD
We got Voucher when he was 7.5
months old from a breeder who bought him from another breeder.
Voucher was originally named Indian Oaks Monty but Indian Oaks was
eventually abbreviated to I.O. So the logical thing to do is to add
Ewe so it sounds like I owe you, hence call name is Voucher. :) His
new kennel name is Hob Nob, name is I. O. Ewe, call name Voucher.
Voucher
is now 3 years 3 months old and has lots to learn about agility.
His favorite hobby is to herd and bite Gael,
my other border collie In turn, Gael would bite Voucher and this
game goes on and on until I put a stop to it.
