In the Fast Lane Volume 2, Issue 4 30 May, 2008 By Sue Yeap This year moved pretty quickly and before we blink the eye, 5 months have passed. On the Agility trials, we have completed 5 agility trials. We have planned another 5 more, making it a total of 10 agility trials for 2008, up from a total of 7 trials last year. Thanks to the committee members and serious competitors who want to title their dogs. Although no dogs are titled so far in 2008, the competitive spirit and passion to move the dogs to better status is very strong. We hope at least 3 dogs get titles this year. Not forgetting the Silver and Gold awards, we hope at least 5 dogs get the Silver medals by December 2008. The next big trial is coming up on 12 and 13 July 2008. The following is the draft copy of the plan, it should hold more ground when it gets closer to July. Max Lee, a prominent dog trainer and judge is the invited Obedience Judge for trial # B06/2008 July 12, 2008 (Saturday)

The exciting event in July is the 1st Flyball Tournament. Ideally there should be 2 classes, maxi and mini dogs. However if there are less than 3 entries for each class, we may have to combine all the dogs and fight for the winner and runner-up. We are also expecting entries from Perlis, KL and Ipoh. Dog Fancy Dress show is popular in Penang. During the last agility trial in April, many dogs turned up all 'dressed-up' and we had to give a last minute Fancy Dress show for them.

On the topic of Judges Certification by ADAA ( Agility Dog Association of Australia), we have started communication with the the Chairman and will soon inform all potential agility judges soon. It will most likely be a week in the month of March 2009.It will be a week long theory class followed by a theory and practical test. We wish all dogs and handlers great success to many more clean runs!
