PAAPP Elementary and Novice courses Volume 2, Issue 3 15, March 2008 Previous Newsletters By Sue Yeap This month, we feature past Elementary and Novice courses as designed by PAAPP judges Adreinne Lim, Sue Yeap and Alexis Yeap. The courses are used in past mock trials and actual trials. Elementary courses have contact obstacles such as table, dog walk and see-saw. Novice has additional weave poles, A-frame and double or triple spread jumps. Rate of travel of Elementary is 2.0m/sec. Rate of travel of Novice is 2.5m/sec. If table is used, additional 5 seconds is added to the SCT, and the time is rounded up to the next '5' or '0' digit (judge discretion). The MCT is 1.5-2.0 times the SCT ( judge discretion).
